Solution for Lost Breakaway Pin for Trailer Breakaway System

Question:

Hello, I was wanting to get an extra pin for my camping trailers break away kit. Are these pins all the same size, or are they brand specific? I tried a Curt pin, but it was too large. My break away kit looks like Replacement Tekonsha Trailer Breakaway Switch 420000 Although there is no identification on mine. thanks again, jeff w.

Hey Jeff, we can definitely help but the pins that go into the breakaway switch are not all universal and unless you know what brand it is the best solution is to just replace the entire switch like with the part # 420000 as this approach is universal in what it can replace since the entire switches all install the same way.
