Recommended Universal 5th Wheel Rails for a 2001 Ford F-350

Updated 03/07/2026 | Published 03/04/2026

Question:

I have a 01 f350 with Reese 5th wheel rail mounts under the bed and the rails on top are two skinny to get bolts in the front and rear hole. I am thinking I have curt rails with skinnier mounting bolt holes. How would I order just Reese brand rails ?

Hey Aaron. Reese's parent company First Brands is going through bankruptcy and a massive fraud investigation. Due to this we are not getting any new Reese parts and have sold completely out of our inventory for their 5th wheel rails. You'll need to look online to see if someone has any left.

Please note that Curt and Reese 5th wheel rails have the same size mounting holes for the 5th wheel hitch pins. Your truck being a 2001 opens the possibility to you having something that isn't industry standard or specialized like a Pull-Rite set.

The Curt Universal Fifth Wheel Base Rails item # C16204 work great with all 5th wheel hitches on the market today. You'd have to find an obscure older hitch that these won't work with. You'll need the Replacement Hardware Kit item # C16111 to get them installed.

What brand and model 5th wheel hitch do you have?
