Hey Russell,

Since your 2017 Heartland Bighorn RV has a GVWR of 15,500lbs, you'll be right at 3,500lbs Pin Weight. The Curt Helix # C63RJ is really optimized for 3,700 - 4200lbs of pin weight so that's not ideal for your setup. It is also designed for the Lippert Rhino pin box mounting flange. Is that what you have on your camper now?

If so, then you'd want the Curt # C65MJ instead which is optimized for 3,200 - 3,700lbs of pin weight which will be perfect for your pin weight.

If you do not have the Lippert Rhino pin box, then I'll need a picture of the white sticker on the passenger side bracket where the pin box bolts on so I can identify it.

I do think you'll really like the Helix. When I was visiting Alliance RV they were mentioning how it's the only pin box they put on their trailers now due to the road force testing they've done showing how good of a job it does at getting rid of vibrations in the trailer/truck.

What kind of truck are you using to tow your Bighorn?

@RussellM Ok, Unfortunately Curt does not make a Helix pin box that fits a 1621 bolt pattern. Due to that there's really two options I'd consider. If you're really a fan of Curt products, they do make an Air ride pin box # LC158778 which is similar however does not have a coil spring like the Helix. If you're fine with other brands, then for the 1621 bolt pattern I would go with the Gen-Y # GY68GR. It does not have the annoyance of airing up the air bag before you tow each time, and does a good job at smoothing out your ride quality when towing.

I misstated the year of my Bighorn RV it’s a 2015.
