Hi Kelly - no drilling and no adhesive needed.
The PopStep covers are molded to hook around the bottom lip of the Lippert SolidStep tread. You simply line it up and press it into place so it wraps underneath and grips.
Nothing gets screwed in, nothing gets taped down, and nothing gets permanently attached.
Now the important part - measure your tread width before ordering. Open the steps and measure the flat stepping surface from edge to edge.
• 24 inch wide means # PS87UR 3-step
• 20 inch wide means # PS39UR 3-step
Your Salem typically uses OEM Lippert SolidSteps with 3 steps, but I always recommend measuring just to be safe.
If you can let me know the part number of your steps, I can verify if you do indeed have the Lippert 3 step configuration like I think you have.
