Question:
Hello, I need a hitch to tow a motorcycle trailer about 5000lb on my 2025 Mercedes AMG GLE 53. If I install the Stealth Hitch I saw recommended on other posts, I am curious on how the wiring would work? Would it connect to the car electronics or simply connect to brake/turning lights? Does it need to cutinch any of he cars bumper/plastics? Thank you.

Hey Rafael. To tow a trailer with your 2025 Mercedes AMG GLE 53, I recommend the Stealth Hitches Hidden Trailer Hitch Receiver w/ Towing Kit item # SH62TR. This custom fit class III hitch comes with a 2" accessory receiver along with a ball mount and attached 2" ball. Also included is the wiring harness, module, and 7-Way connector you'll need to operate your motorcycle trailer's brakes and lights.
The wiring included with the Stealth Hitches item # SH62TR is going to splice into the factory wiring for your rear lights, connect directly to your battery, ground to a nearby piece of steel, and run a line up into your Mercedes cab for a brake controller. There are a couple steps in the installation instructions, I linked them below, that go over what part of the trim underneath your Mercedes that needs to be cut. This is to allow the removable receivers to attach to the crosstube of the hitch.
To add a brake controller, I recommend the Redarc Tow-Pro Liberty item # RED52VR. This is a proportional brake controller that activates your trailer's brakes when your Mercedes decelerates or stops. It brakes your trailer with the same force so it's not only the safest but easiest on your SUV and your trailer. The included wiring harness is all you'll need to get it setup.
The Tow-Pro Liberty item # RED52VR has a unique installation method where the only visible portion is the control knob that's about the size of a nickel. The main unit is hidden away inside your dash to be completely out of the way and out of sight.

Hey Rafael, how did things go with the Stealth Hitch and wiring on your AMG GLE 53? Did the wiring splice and trim cuts go as expected? Your update could make it easier for others setting up a similar towing setup.
