Question:
Hey, what happens if the battery is completely dead and the jump starter doesn’t recognize it?

Hey Kevin - that’s an important one, and Projecta actually handles it well.
If the battery voltage is extremely low, Projecta units like the 900A # VX95NR, 1,200A # VX63NR, and 1,400A # VX73NR have a manual override mode. That mode lets you force a charge long enough to bring the battery up and start the vehicle.
This is another spot where Projecta tends to outperform cheaper jump starters that just shut down and leave you stuck. You still get safety protections - you’re just telling the unit you know what you’re doing by letting it manually quick charge the vehicle's dead battery.
What kind of vehicle are you planning to use it on? Have you had bad luck with some other jump starters on a completely dead battery? I have an 3-in-1 air compressor charger I've had for awhile and it works good for golfcart or lawn mower batteries, but it couldn't bring my truck battery up enough so I wish I had one of these Projectas lol.

Man this explains a lot. I thought my jump starter was broken but the battery was probably just toast. It would power on but never do anything. This override thing sounds like exactly what I was missing.
