Will Yakima OverNOut 270 XL Awning Fit 2017 Ford Transit T250 High Top

Hello. I am planning to install a Yakima 270 to my 2017 Ford Transit 250 High Top Are those compatible? Thanks

Hey Juan! Does your 2017 Ford Transit T250 have a roof rack or platform with channels on top? The Yakima OverNOut 270 XL Awning # Y85QD is designed to mount in the channels on crossbars/platforms so as long as you have this on your Transit you will be able to install the awning.

Thanks My van does have a roof rack made out of 80x20 aluminum channeled square bar. I just might need to know the dimensions of the nut that runs inside the Chanel. Could you please provide me with that piece of info? Thanks

@JuanA I thought Yakima would have this, turns out they can't tell me the size of their parts. Only that it fits their channels that are 20mm x 3mm and 22mm x 8mm. If you can figure it out from that let me know. If not, I'll have to rip one open next week after things are cleared from the storm and measure.

Thanks Robin Don’t worry. I could always change the size with a grinder if needed. Do you know of anyone that has installed it on a Transit?

@Juan that is good to hear, a lot of the time on vans like this there is a little bit of custom work involved to make things fit. I do not know if anyone has added the # Y85QD to a Transit, we do see a lot of people putting awnings on them though.
