Does 2018 Chevy Silverado 2500HD and 3500HD Have Same Underbed Puck System Spacing

Updated 01/15/2026 | Published 01/12/2026

Question:

Hello I had a 2108 2500HD silverado with the puck system for my 5th wheel hitch. I bought a 2018 3500HD SIlverado and it doesnt have the puck system. DO you sell the underbed portion of the puck system.

Hey Keith, did you for sure buy a 2018 Chevy to replace your 2018 2500? There was a puck design change but it happened later so the two trucks should have the same OEM puck kit which would then make me think the new truck actually has an aftermarket underbed rail kit like a Reese which looks very similar but is spaced differently. If it's a Reese Elite rail kit the pucks would be spaced 30 inches left to right and 13 inches front to back. Let me know what the spacing is on your pucks and we can go from there.

I installed a 5th wheel rail system on my 2020 F-150 installation was fairly easy except I had to modify brake lines. Then I bought a 2023 F-250 & installed a under bed goose neck system installation turned out well. I mounted a 5th wheel in my bed. I used BW equipment for everything. Drilling & mounting I fallowed the instructions. A person needs some tools & knowledge. Robert E.
