I reckon it is a Fresnel lens and have read that a Fresnel lens can be used to start a fire. My RV window is in direct sunlight at least 4 hours a day. Is there any danger of fire?

Hey Doug,
No, there is no danger of fire with the CIPA Stick-On, Wide-Angle Viewing Lens # CM60100. Yes, it bends the sunlight like a Fresnel lens, but it's engineered to diverge the light to avoid concentrating it to a point. They also designed it with an off-center focal point to further prevent any concentration of light to ensure safety.
