Wrench for Hex Bolts on my Inno Bike Rack

Question:

I am trying to remove racks which were installed by you last year to make an extended trip not hauling anything on top. We opened the area and tried to loosen bolt with hex, but it seems the hex is too large to fit in holes. Are we doing something wrong, or could we possibly have been given wrong hex? Thanks

Hey Rebecca,

It looks like you have the Inno Aero Roof Rack # IN64WR. The hexagonal wrench you got with the kit is 5mm (3/16") for the hex bolt to mount the u-shaped base plates, but you will need a 4mm (5/32") hex wrench for the smaller hex bolts in the base unit.

If you don't have a 4mm wrench, then I would recommend getting one from your local hardware store.

Let me know if you have any other questions!

Hey Rebecca, did the 4mm hex wrench end up working to loosen the bolts on your Inno Aero roof rack? Knowing how it went could help others trying to remove their racks too.
