Looking For A Trailer Hitch For My 2013 Kia Sorento SX

Updated 01/06/2026 | Published 12/28/2025

Question:

Do you have a trailer hitch that fits a 2013 KIA Sorento SX? I ordered the Curt model 13073, and it is 10inch too wide to fit the frame.

Hey David,

We do have a hitch for the 2013 Kia Sorento SX and it is the Curt # C13073. It requires no drilling to install so it should bolt right up. I have attached a video of the installation as well. When you received the hitch did you notice any box damage or damage to the hitch? There is a chance it was bent during shipping which is why it is not lining up.

Let me know if there was any noticeable damage when you received the hitch and I can help get you setup with a reshipment.

That is the one I ordered. I read on some sights that the C13073 fits ALL KIA sorentos 2011 -2013 EXCEPT the SX model.

@DavidG I spoke with Curt who did confirm that # C13073 is the correct fitment for the SX trim models. What condition did the hitch arrive in?

@NickS The box was not damaged, some scuff marks, but the hitch was perfect. The measurements on the box stated the width was 54" and my frame is 44" wide. Everything else looked like it would fit, bolt holes, and design of the hitch. It was just too wide for the frame.

@DavidG I reached out to Curt again and they recommended measuring your bolt holes center to center on the hitch as well as your vehicle. The bolt holes should be standard on all of those Sorentos that this hitch will fit. Typically a hitch is off by 1-3 inches at most when it is not aligned. Has this Kia been in an accident that you know of that could have effected the frame in the rear?
