Hello Eduardo.
I have a few questions for you.
Is this something that has recently started to happen or is this the first time you are using the Blue Ox Patriot part # BLU37TR?
Is it intermittent braking or always applying the brakes?
Is it something that happens over time while towing or from the start?
Is there any error codes or messages showing?
There are a few reasons why this could be happening. If the main unit is not sitting on the vehicle floor properly it can cause the unit to not work properly. The sensitivity setting may be too high, so normal bumps, turns, or deceleration trigger braking.
The first thing you can check would be the breakaway cable. Make sure the pin is not pulled out at all and is fully inserted into the breakaway box. Also check to make sure that the cable that connects the breakaway to the main unit is plugged in all the way. If the braking is happening after being on the road for a while it's possible that it isn't in all the way and coming out. You can check that the brake pedal fully releases, have someone use the manual override and then watch to make sure it's releasing properly. If it's not the cylinder could be getting stuck. This can happen if the main unit isn't sitting on the vehicle floor properly.
Let me know what you have found out and if you have any more questions.

Hola Eduardo.
Avísame qué has descubierto y si tienes alguna otra pregunta.

I bought Blue Ox Patriot braking system. I live in Colorado, we have hills. I use it in my Jeep wrangler, towing with my motorhome. It did take a little while to get everything adjusted. Now it is quick in and out. I am very satisfied with its performance. It makes a big difference. I had no problems with reception from the jeep to the controller. This was a concern at first, being 35' apart and inside two different vehicles.

The only time I had any issues towing my jeep is when my battery in the jeep went bad. The jeep was least than a year old so it was unexpected. Replaced the battery and no issues. I also tow a Kia soul with no issues. Very happy with the blue ox system.

We installed the brake system when we started towing and have not had a problem with it. Just need to make sure it is flat on the floor, properly attached to the brake pedal. We always kept the sensitivity set at 5. We are currently selling our motorhome.
