Question:
I have a 2005 Mazda Tribute with a 4-pin harness plug that has a rubber sleeve that mounts into a metal bracket. The plug is intermittent, and I need to replace it. I can send a photo of the plug. I want to know if you have this type of plug. Thank you for your assistance

Hey Roger. You can send any pictures you have directly to the email address you receive this response from.
To replace a 4-Way wiring harness on a 2005 Mazda Tribute we have two options. Which one you need is going to be determined by whether or not your Mazda has the factory tow package. I have listed both options below:
With the Factory Tow Package - Plug-N-Tow (R) Vehicle Wiring Harness item # 40455
Without the Factory Tow Package - Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness item # C56345
To identify whether or not you have the factory tow package, you'll want to follow the wiring back from the 4-way connector. If it goes to a plug close to the rear bumper you'll need item # 40455. If it goes further and up inside your Tribute towards the tail lights you'll need item # C56345.
Does your Mazda have the factory tow package?
You can add this information and any other questions you have where it says Reply to Jerred H and I'll be happy to answer them.
