Does Brightway ICU Trailer Breakaway Kit Come With Diodes

Question:
Do the Bright Way Breakawawy kits like the Push-to-Test ICU Kit BW94FR have built in diodes to keep from back feeding the 12v interior lights that are also on the power wire? I.E. if I accidentally leave the interior lights on in my cargo trailer, does this battery back feed and power the lights, essentially killing the battery? Thanks.

Hey Wayne! The Brightway ICU Trailer Breakaway Kit # BW94FR does not come with diodes or have any built in to prevent backfeeding. Depending on how you wire it it's certainly possible the lights could pull power from this battery if left on. All you have to do is add in a simple diode like the # RM-690 to stop it.
