Question:

I have a Solera Series 3000 power awningin/out. Can I add a wind sensor to this unit? Your response would be greatly appreciated Thank you,

Hello Mike,

If your Solera Series 3000 has the smart arms like the Solera Smart Arm Electric RV Awning Conversion Kit # LC759405 then you can add the Wind Sensor for Solera Smart Arm 12V Power RV Awnings # LC715123 with mounting hardware # LC52AF, the wind sensor is only compatible with the smart arms. I see on the 3000 series it can come with or without the smart arms.

If you do not have smart arms and your arms are 69" long, you can use the # LC759405 conversion kit to add the smart arms.

What kind of camper is this going on? Any fun summer adventures this year? Where did you go, or where are you going?

Kate, Sorry for the very late response to your email. I do not have the smart arms. The unit just runs in/out. No lower controls Being honest, I’m retired and the expense to convert this unit is currently out of my price range. I’ll just have to make sue to raise it before I leave the rig.
