Good question, Luis. The Heat Magnet # ZE35MR runs hotter - up to about 250°F on its metal contact surface - while the Silicone Pad # ZE75MR cycles between 170°F and 200°F. The magnet’s higher heat is ideal for thick oil or frozen hardware, and the pad’s gentler, adhesive-based warmth suits long-term fluid warming on sealed pans. The main difference comes down to how the magnetic version is not permanent and needs to be removed before the machinery/vehicle drives off, while the silicone one has adhesive and is permanent.

Do you plan to move it around between equipment or mount it permanently? And is it a steel surface? That’ll tell us which one fits best.

Appreciate the breakdown, Andrew. I’ve got a few pieces of equipment. a tractor, generator, and a snowblower. so I was leaning toward the magnetic one to move around.

@Louis That’s a great plan. The Zerostart Heat Magnet # ZE35MR is perfect for that - one heater you can move around wherever you need it. The magnet’s higher heat output is great for thick oil or engines that sit outside. You’ll love the flexibility of just popping it on and off between jobs.
