Question:
I’m looking to keep oil warm on a big high watt generator in an unheated shed. Which is better, the magnet or the silicone pad?

Good question, Terry. If your generator’s oil pan or engine block is steel, the magnetic Zerostart # ZE35MR is easier - it sticks instantly and can be moved to other equipment. But if the part is aluminum, the magnet won’t grab, and the Zerostart pad # ZE75MR would be the right pick. It adheres permanently and provides steady, moisture-sealed heat.
Both draw minimal power and make cold starts way easier.
Do you run that generator on a timer or plug it in manually before storms?
