Can the companion base be turned backwards on a 2025 GM truck?

The B&W Companion OEM 5th Wheel Hitch for Chevy/GMC Towing Prep Package - Dual Jaw - 25,000 lbs # BWRVK3715 can indeed be mounted "backwards", but there is a very big question that needs to be asked. Why?
I do also have to say that B&W does recommend mounting it with the warning labels facing the back of the cab, but they also said that mounting it "backwards" would not affect the warranty or integrity (it measures the same both ways), so if you want to mount it like this, you definitely can.
