Is There Way to Raise Upper Crossbars of Yakima EasyRider Double Decker Trailer
Published 10/22/2025 >
Question:
I have a Yakima easy rider trailer for my kayak. At the moment, I have to take the seats out for loading and unloading so they don’t hit the upper crossbars. Is there an extension or a riser for the crossbars that will make more room underneath so the kayak will slide in and out of the trailer?

Hey Mike, I wish we had a way to raise the upper crossbars of your Yakima EasyRider trailer part # Y08129 but there just isn't a solution for that. Is there anyway you could carry the kayaks on the upper bars and then use the lower bars for whatever it is you are currently carrying on the upper bars?

The kayak on the bottom is the better option, but I may see if I can make it work on the top crossbars. Thanks for the reply.
