Question:
Would the MXS59FR work on my big tandem enclosed trailer?
asked by: Dave
Expert Reply:
That could be a great upgrade, Dave. The # MXS59FR uses a larger 16" wheel and an ST235/80R16 Load Range G tire rated for 4,080 lbs at 110 psi, which is perfect for 5200lb+ axles or fifth-wheel applications.
If your trailer has 8-on-6-1/2 hubs, this combo will bolt right up and give you a nice setup. Do you happen to know your axle rating or current wheel bolt pattern? That’ll confirm if this is the right size or if we should be looking at a 15" option like # MXS77FR instead. This one is tire size ST225/75R15 with 6 on 5-1/2 wheel.
