How Do You Open Yakima SkyPeak HD part # Y83QD When Up In Air on Ladder Rack

Question:
How do you climb up to put the tent up if the ladder is stored inside? Can you access it before the tent is fully up? Would love to see this video on an actual truck to see the real process. I assume also that most people finish putting it up by sitting inside it?

Hey Janine, this is a great question but basically once you start opening the Yakima SkyPeak HD part # Y83QD the gas struts on the sides are going to start pushing it up by itself so that you don't have to get up into the tent and also lift it all the way up. So as long as you can access the handle/release lever you can push it up and it will take care of the rest!
