Will the Transformer Dolly work with a gooseneck trailer, or only fifth wheels?

Good question, Mike - the Transformer # PA66VR actually handles both. It comes with two connection kits: a Kingpin adapter for fifth wheels and a ball mount adapter for gooseneck or standard trailer couplers. You just select whichever connection you need into the dolly’s receiver tube. The process is tool-free once assembled, and the dolly supports up to 15K of weight in either mode.

What kind of trailer are you using it on - horse, flatbed, or RV? That’ll help confirm which adapter gives you the best fit. I've attached a demonstration video for you to check out.

I’ve got a small gooseneck horse trailer around 9,000 lbs. Wondering if that’s too much for the Transformer?

@Tanya You’re good, Tanya! The Transformer # PA66VR handles up to 15,000 lbs, so your trailer’s well within its limits. Just make sure your driveway or storage pad is level and paved for best traction. Are you usually moving it solo, or do you have someone to help guide when backing into tight spots?
