Question:

How’s the control interface in the cab for adjusting spinner speed or rate on these models -ME26FR vs ME98FR?

Hey Brenda, for Base Line models like 6.3 Cu Ft # ME26FR and 3.7 Cu Ft # ME86FR, you get an in-cab touchpad controller with “fast, slow, vibrate” modes so you can tweak output without stopping (vibrator is not included with base line models).

The Blaster models like 6.5 Cu Ft # ME98FR and 12.8 Cu Ft # ME48FR offer advanced controls, including a vibrator, blast mode (a surge of power) and automatic spinner shut off when braking, so you avoid waste at intersections. See photo on this page which shows the more advanced settings the Blaster models offer.

Do you expect to adjust rates mid-drive for different surfaces? That might push you toward a Blaster for more flexibility. It also depends what vehicle you have, as the blasters are for bigger 3/4 ton trucks or bigger, whereas the base line can be used on small pickups and even SUVs.

I’ve got the Blaster 350S on my Silverado and the controller is super easy to use. the brake shutoff actually works - no piles behind stop signs anymore or when I stop at certain parts of the lot I'm plowing..
