Can The Greystone RV Curved Electric Fireplace GR54FR Be Wall Mounted?

Question:

Hello this would be a new install. And I have 2 questions. 1, Can this be wall mounted.? 2 Is there another trim kit or could I build my own? I don’t have 28” Thanks

Hello Thomas, thanks for reaching out. The Greystone RV Curved Electric Fireplace # GR54FR is designed to be recessed mounted in a 26" wide x 20-7/8" tall x 6" deep. It is not intended to be wall mounted. You would need to put a shelf and wooden surround on the wall.

There is only one trim kit available for this, and it is 27-15/16" wide x 21-7/16" tall x 9-1/16" deep overall. I suppose you could build your own trim kit and paint it black to match if you are able.

What size cutout do you have?

I know it’s not a finished product but I guess I did not do a good job as the correct question. Let’s try again. Does the back need much airspace. The cut out width is 26”.

@ThomasC Ok gotcha. So they do not list anything specific as far as rear clearance for these fireplaces. As long as the vent on the front isn't blocked you wouldn't have any issues. We actually have one of these Greystone fireplaces in our office here that we use in the winter. We would use it for hours, or even days at a time at I never felt any heat coming off the back. A 26" wide cutout would be just fine. How deep is the cutout?
