Heather, on battery you can expect about 1.25 hours of runtime. If you’ve got a long project, one of the nice features is that you can plug it in via USB and keep using it while it charges. That way you’re not forced to stop halfway through a job. For comparison, the slim # PT47RR runs longer on low, but this one puts out a much broader beam designed to light the whole engine compartment at once.
