Installing Universal 5th Wheel Rails On A 2012 Ram 3500

I have a set of aftermarket base rails with L brackets Toto frame mounts. Do these L brackets attach to the front bolt or rear bolt on the base rail

Hi Jeff!
Are you installing this on a 2012 Ram 3500? And, are they the Curt Universal Fifth Wheel Base Rails with Installation Kit # C16200? If it is this kit, you will also need the Curt Semi-Custom Fifth Wheel Bracket Kit for Dodge Ram 2500/3500 with Overload Springs # C16301. I included an snip of the instructions showing how you need to lay the brackets out as well.
If you have the Reese Universal Base Rails and Installation Kit # RP30035, you will need their version of that semi-custom bracket to complete the install. For that, we have it as the Reese Mounting Bracket Kit for 5th Wheel Trailer Hitches - Dodge Ram # RP58186. I have a snip of their instructions as well.

Hey Jeff, how did things go with mounting the L brackets on your Ram 3500? Did the layout from the Curt or Reese instructions line up the way you expected? Your update could make it easier for the next person setting up their base rails.
