Question:
does the FG26FR 55k water heater fogatti have freeze protection, or do I still need to drain it before winter? I've heard of people having issues in deep winter on some older water heaters and older campers. thanks, god bless.

Stephanie, the Fogatti # FG26FR w/ black door (or # FG86FR w/ white door) does have an antifreeze cycle built in; when temps to about 43°F, it will fire briefly to keep the water lines from freezing, then shut off when temps rise back near 90°F.
That’s great for overnight dips if you leave the RV powered. For long-term winter storage, you’ll still want to drain the unit.
Do you typically camp in freezing weather, or just store the RV over winter? That will tell us what you need to do.
