Recommended Gen-y Executive Pin Box for a Lippert 1621SHD Bolt Pattern

Question:
I have a 2020 Vanleigh Beacon 39GBB with a 18,000 lb gvwr and approximately 4300lbs of pin weight with 1621SHD pinbox wings. Is the Gen-Y executive 5th wheel hitch capable with the 1621SHD and if so what capacity and model would you recommend? Current pinbox is a 21,000 lb capacity trailair Rota-Flex. Also, is there another pinbox I should consider that outperforms the Gen-Y?

Hey Marlon, thanks for the information! The difference between the 1621 and the 1621SHD is weight capacity and how many bolts are required to mount it. The 1621 uses 4 bolts for mounting. The 1621SHD requires all 6 bolts to be used.
The Gen-Y Hitch Shock Absorbing 5th Wheel Pin Box item # GY26PR you were looking at is indeed compatible with a 1621SHD bolt pattern. Given your 4,300 lbs pin weight this is the exact model I would recommend.
The Gen-y Executive item # GY26PR is going to be a solid upgrade over your Trailair Rota-Flex. It uses technology similar to torsion axles so it has way less moving parts. It has internal bumpers that limit bounce and help to isolate the tow vehicle from road shock that transfers from the 5th wheel to your tow vehicle. The Gen-Y pin box is completely maintenance free and also features a built-in tongue weight scale.
There is no other pin box I would recommend that's going to handle absorbing the up and down road shock better than the Gen-y Executive item # GY26PR
