Question:
I have a 6x10 enclosed cargo trailer with a 2inch flat-lip coupler. Would the ICON AL26DQ be my best choice?

Expert Reply:
Frank, yes, that’s the exact application the # AL26DQ covers. Flat-lip couplers are common on enclosed cargo rigs, and this lock sits over the lip, blocking the ball cavity completely. Since enclosed trailers often carry valuable tools or bikes, it’s worth the added protection of ICON’s hardened steel body.
One thing to make sure is that you don't have the yoke (horseshoe) tyle latch on your coupler. If you have an A-Frame coupler like in the photo I attached, you'd instead need # AL33DQ.
Do you also lock your rear door latch?
