Question:

I live in Montana and camp down into the teens. Will the Fogatti FG55FR keep my 28-foot Cougar comfortable in freezing temps?

Cheryl, the 35,000 BTU output of the # FG55FR is designed for exactly that. In a 28-footer, it should keep things toasty even in single-digit nights, provided your insulation is decent. The variable fan speeds help it maintain comfort without short-cycling. One tip: make sure your ductwork is sealed up and your return air isn’t blocked in any way shape or form - those two things make a big difference in cold-weather performance.

Do you usually camp with shore power available, or do you boondock with just propane and battery? That can help us fine-tune whether you need extra battery capacity for overnight furnace runs to power the blower and electronics.

One other thing to note is that this doesn't have a service door. If you actually do have a service door on the outside of your camper for the furnace, you'd instead want either the black door version # FG45FR or white door version # FG65FR.
