Hey Angela, for the Silver # M357FR and Black # M336FR, best practice is a dedicated 2-wire hookup 12V+ and ground back to your lighting ground. Frame grounds can work, but a paired ground wire helps avoid intermittent issues - especially on aluminum-skin trailers like yours.
Do you have a light you are replacing, or is this a new addition? Either way, you'll need cutout size of 11-5/8" wide x 8-3/4" tall.
