Will this replace a Bauer European style door latch?

Hello Keith,

It will not be an exact match, but you can make it work. The Bauer Products European Style RV Entry Door Lock # BA26AR requires a cutout of 7-7/16" tall x 3-3/4" wide, and the Global Link RV Lock with Bluetooth Connectivity # GL62VR requires a 6 7/8" x 4 5/8". So you would need to cut to make the width a little wider, and make the height a little smaller buy framing it in. The outer dimensions of the # GL62VR is 5 3/8" wide X 8 3/4" tall so you will not see the modification.

So it is not an exact swap, but not too difficult to make it work.

What kind of camper is this going on? Any fun adventures this year, where did you go, what did you see?

Hey Keith, did you have a chance to modify the door latch to fit your camper? I'm curious to know how it worked out for you, as it could help others considering a similar swap.

Hi Kate, It's hard to tell from the video and the pictures how the lock and latch mechanism work, wood I need to take the latch and deadbolt off of the Bauer handle and attach it to Global Link handle assembly?

@Keith You don’t need to transfer anything from your Bauer handle Keith, the Global Link # GL62VR is a complete lock assembly that replaces your existing one. It’s made to work with the rotary latch already built into your door, so you’ll just remove the Bauer unit and install the Global Link in its place. Everything you need, interior and exterior housings, handle, deadbolt, keys, and hardware all comes in the box.
