I have questions about the Hollywood Racks SR 1 for my Jeep Wrangler. I’m wondering if it works with a cover on the spare and also, can it be locked to the tire and can the bike be locked to all this also?

We do have some reviews stating that the Hollywood Racks SR1 2-Bike Carrier - Spare Tire Mount # HRSR1 will work with a cover on the spare tire. However, I do not recommend leaving the cover on. The cover can affect the fit and grip of the carrier, which may cause the rack to loosen over time or lead to undesired performance.

To help secure the rack and your bikes, you can also use the Hollywood Racks 2" Hitch Lock and 8' Cable Lock for Bike Racks # HRLHPC2. This will provide an extra layer of security and deter theft.

What kind of bikes are you transporting? Do you have a specific trail near by you like to ride? We have the Katy Trail here in Missouri and it is always jam packed with bikes!
