Question:
How noisy is the Velit 2000R compared to a traditional RV rooftop AC?

Expert Reply:
Keith, the Velit 2000R 10K Btu # VE99QV unit is much quieter. In Eco Mode it’s about 45 dB, softer than a normal conversation, and Boost Mode tops at 58 dB, closer to white noise. You’ll still hear nature sounds or have a conversation without raising your voice. Most RV AC units that run off 110v are going to run over 70 dB.
If you’ve camped next to someone’s old Coleman AC, you’ll notice the difference immediately. Do you usually park at campgrounds or prefer boondocking spots?
