How Loud Is The Buzzer In The Brandmotion Parking Sensor Kit?

Question:

How loud is the buzzer? My hearing’s not great, and I drive with the radio on.

Bill, the # BM28YR buzzer has three volume settings, topping out over 85 dB, which is similar to a smoke alarm chirp, plenty to cut through music or road noise. That said, there is also a visual LED warning that flashes at you, so you have the audible AND visual feedback.

Do you want to know how to set it to high during the install so you don’t have to dig under the dash later?

That’s reassuring, Andrew. Can the buzzer be mounted closer to me in the cab so it’s easier to hear, or does it have to stay under the dash?

@Bill Absolutely, Bill, you can mount the buzzer wherever it works best for you. It comes with adhesive backing, so you can stick it up on the dash, near the A-pillar, or even closer to your seat if that helps with hearing. The wiring harness has enough length to give you flexibility, so you’re not locked into under-dash placement. The buzzer is pretty loud on the highest setting, similar to an alarm clock, vacuum, or blender noise level. Hope this helps!
