Are Spindles of Trailer Axles Replaceable

Question:
Hello, I was hoping you could help me find an axle for my 2001 EZ Loader Y-STC80B. If there are multiple options Id like to explore them all. Also, can you confirm that the spindle on the stock axles cant be swapped out. If I need a new spindle I need a new axle? Thank you for your time. -Jay

Hey Jay, you can replace the spindle on an axle but you would need to find a welder who has the correct jigs to do this as you really have to make sure it's installed in correct location to ensure you don't have alignment issues.
To pick out correct replacement spindle I would need to know the axle capacity.
To pick out correct axle you need to know the capacity as well as the distance between spring seat centers and also the distance from hub face to hub face.
