Can Velit 2000R Mini RV AC Be Installed on 2017 nuCamp T@B Trailer

Question:
HI, I have a 2017 T@B c-ss Clanshell. It has the fantastic vent fan installed so it looks like this unit would fit. My questions are has anyone installed this on a T@B? Will the camper support the weight? Does the unit protrude very far below the ceiling? I have 6awg wire running to the Lithium ion batteries 2 100ah wired in parallel from a WF-9835-AD Charger direct connection can i tie the power to this as opposed to running all the way to the battery’s?

Hey John! This unit is really low profile both inside and out so you can expect the # VE49QV to sit much like your Fan-tastic roof vent does right now inside your camper. Instead of the opening for the vent it will be filled with the controls and louvers. We started carrying these recently so I don't know if anyone has put one on a T@B trailer yet but I'm guessing they have.
I'm confident the 49 lb weight of the unit won't be an issue but the only way to know for sure is to check with nuCamp since they are the ones who will know the roof capacity. You will need to run separate 6 AWG wire to the battery from the AC unit for installation.
Any big trips coming up with your camper?

Hey John, did you get a chance to check with nuCamp about the roof capacity for your T@B? I'm curious to know if the Velit 2000R AC worked out for you, especially since it sounds like a great fit. Let me know how it went, as it could really help others with similar setups!
