Does Installation of Romik RZR Running Boards Require Removal of 2025 Grand Cherokee Body Cladding

Updated 08/07/2025 | Published 07/10/2025

Question:

Can I install this running board on my 2025 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited without taking off production cladding? My wife is having trouble getting in and out, she is 75, is this the best width and design for me to get to help keep her safe? Thank you.

Hey Al! You will not have to remove any body cladding from your 2025 Grand Cherokee to install the Romik RZR Running Boards # RMK59QR. The brackets bolt on underneath the vehicle without removing any of the cladding so the vehicle will look the same (aside from the addition of the running boards of course). The only real modification is a straight cut in the felt cover underneath so it can remain installed with the brackets. See the attached photo.

Hey Al, I'm glad to hear that you won't need to remove any cladding to install the running boards on your Grand Cherokee. How did the installation go, and is your wife finding it easier to get in and out now? I'm curious because I want to make sure we're helping others in similar situations.
