Will the Blue Ox Baseplate Fit a 2020 Honda Civic Si?

Question:
Thanks for allowing me to ask this question. I am trying to find a baseplate that will fit a 2020 Honda Civic model Si. I once owned a 2008 Honda Civic with a Blue Ox base plate and during those model years Blue Ox did not make a baseplate for the Civic Si. Now when I look at 2020 Civics, often the baseplates seem to be compatible with all the Civic models that I am considering purchasing with a manual transmission. However, most of the manual transmission Civics are the Si model. Blue Ox customer service told me their baseplate for the 2020 Civic would not work with the Si model after I pressed them several times to confirm. Now I'm not sure if they were just trying to appease me. I'm wondering if the overall configuration of the Si model today is the same as other 2020 Civic models which would allow for the Blue Ox as well as a Roadmaster base plate to work. Can you please confirm with certainty if the BX2265 or the RM33FR would work with a 2020 Civic Si model or give me the bad news that it will not work with the Civic Si model? Thank you again.

Hey Rick. The Blue Ox Base Plate Kit item # BX2265 will work on the Si model of the 2020 Honda Civic. We had a customer install one on a 2019 with no issues. I attached a couple of pictures below.
Please note that only the manual transmission models of the 2020 Honda Civic can be flat towed.
Here are the rest of the parts you'll need to flat tow your 2020 Honda Civic Si:
Tow Bar and Safety Chains - etrailer SD Non-Binding Tow Bar for Blue Ox Base Plates item # e47ZR
Wiring Harness - Roadmaster Diode 7-Wire to 6-Wire Flexo-Coil Wiring Kit item # RM-15267
Supplemental Braking System - SMI Stay-IN-Play DUO Supplemental Braking System item # SM99251 or item # SM99243 if your motorhome has air brakes.
Brake Light Relay - Roadmaster Brake-Lite Relay Kit for Towed Vehicles item # RM-88400
High Low Adapter - The tow bar needs to be within 3" of level. If you measure the height of the inside top of the hitch receiver tube on your RV, and the height difference is more than 3 inches above/below the base plate tab height, you'll need a high/low adapter. I have linked a FAQ article that explains all this in more detail along with our selection of adapters.
What kind of motorhome do you have?

I can't thank you enough for your reply. I began to think the BX2265 would work on the Civic Si since the installation instructions addresses the turbo tube removal and reinstall too. I appreciate all the additional information too. I have flat towed a 2008 Civic in the past with all of the additional items needed so I am very familiar with the process. Your help was priceless....thanks again...
