Is There a Specific Way to Mount the Prodigy P3 Brake Controller on a 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee?

Question:
Good morning. I have a 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee with factory tow package. I am trying to install a Tekonsha Prodigy brake controller, but I cannot find a good spot that doesnt require drilling into some sensitive looking equipment. We had the previous generation Grand Cherokee, and this had some plastic under the steering wheel we could mount on. Have you found a good way to install these on the new JGCs? Thanks

Hey Darren, thanks for reaching out!
We haven't had a chance to install the Prodigy P3 # 90195 on a 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee yet, so we don't have a specific place that we've found already. I'm guessing you already looked under and kind of behind that panel near your knees on the driver side and didn't see anything that looked promising.
What I recommend doing is trying to find an adhesive that will bond to both the plastic panel under the steering wheel as well as the metal bracket for the P3. When I did some research online it looked like there is 3M VHB tape that bonds to both, but I could only find it in bulk. You might try visiting your local hardware or home improvement store to see if they have anything like that as an alternative to the self-tapping screws.
Let me know what you end up finding out! I'd love to be able to have it live on the page for others to see as well!
