Hey Mike,

Yes, with any valve like that on the # CAM39085 it needs to be lubricated to keep if from sticking or misplacing the seals. Any silicone-based lubricants are recommended for this application. I am not sure exactly what brand Camco uses, but as long as it is a silicone-based lubricant it is going to work well for you. You'll want to check these after any long trips or longer periods of time where you are not using it.

Do you travel often and think you will use this a lot?

Nick, thanks for the quick response. We don't travel that often but we certainly enjoy when we do. I noticed new out of the box there were globs of lubricant on the gate valve gate and wondered about the need to lubricant it. Thanks again.

@MikeD I feel you on that, I don't get out often but when I do I make the most of it. Depending on how long you travel for I don't think it needs to be a regular maintenance thing, but something you just keep an eye on and lubricate when needed. I hope you are getting out soon and enjoying the weather, you'll have to let me know how it works out for you.
