Hey David, so 2-13/16 inches is right at 2.81 inches. Since trailer wheels center on the lug nuts all you need is a wheel that has a larger pilot diameter than the bore of the trailer hub. So if you have basically a 2.81 inch diameter bore currently a wheel and tire like the part # AM30630 would be big enough to fit as it has a pilot diameter of 2.84 inch. Your trailer wheels are attached to the hub with lug nuts correct and not bolts?

That is correct. It's lug nuts. I was always under the assumption that the pilot hole had to match the hub, that the lug nuts weren't strong enough to carry all the weight alone. As in they're just there to keep the wheel against the hub with the hub actually carrying the load. If I'm reading you right, that's not the case.

@DavidC That's not the case. As long as the pilot diameter is bigger you are fine. It only has to match if the wheel is hub-centric and you used wheel bolts instead of lug nuts.
