Best Option For Replacing iRV Tech Model 62 In 2024 Keystone Cougar
Updated 09/12/2025 | Published 05/22/2025 >
Question:
Recommended replacement for an iRV Tech model 62 that is currently installed in my 2024 Keystone Cougar. Problem is it stopped allowing feedback of audio from the TV. Been thinking of a possible no IRV tech unit but wiring could be a problem. Other route is if there is a newer unit available, more reliable and could be a simple plug and play. Cutting and connecting wires not a problem, have installed numerous auto heads but auto/truck wiring diagrams are easily found. Thanks

Hey Doug, thanks for reaching out. We do have a good option for replacing your iRV model 62. Take a look at the following:
- Furrion RV Stereo w/ DVD Player - Double DIN - Bluetooth, USB - 260W - 3 Zone - 12V # DV1230BL
The main reason I am recommending this is because it is virtually the same size as the iRV 62 which fits a 6 3/4"W x 4"H x 6 1/2"D cutout. The Furrion unit fits a 6-15/16" wide x 4" tall x 5-1/2" long cutout so it can certainly be made to fit. It has all the same features as the IRV62, and the Furrion unit can control up to 3 zones instead of two.
The race panel on the Furrion is slightly larger than the iRV. The Furrion face plate is 9-3/4" wide x 4-5/8" tall so please make sure this will fit where you need it to.
If you are familiar with wiring stereos, it shouldn't give you any trouble. Trailers and RVs typically do not have diagrams that can be easily found though, and it is not plug-and-play. I have included a link to the Furrion instructions for you below which should be all you need.
Personally, I actually really like the Furrion brand for electronics. They are owned by Lippert which is a popular trailer part manufacturer you may have heard of. The Furrion AC units, Stereos, cameras ect are widely considered to be a step above other brands.
