Does Coleman ADB Need to be Replaced When Installing Advent Air RV AC R32
Updated 09/12/2025 | Published 05/22/2025 >
Question:
If I am replacing my Coleman unit with this system, do I need to change out the Air distribution box or can I just buy the unit and install?

Hi Kate; yes, you will need to replace your current air distribution box (ADB) with the included Advent Air one. The Advent Air RV Air Conditioner System # ADV92SR is a complete system with everything you need for installation. It is also a new R32 unit which isn't backwards compatible with any of the old R410A parts. It may be a little more work but it is a good time to go ahead and switch to an R32 AC since parts are already becoming obsolete for the old models.

Hi Kate, did you have a chance to replace your air distribution box with the Advent Air one as suggested? I'm curious to know how the installation went and if the new R32 unit is working well for you. Your experience could be really helpful for others considering a similar upgrade.
