Need Key To Bed Cover On 2020 Ram 1500 Limited

Question:
Hi, I just bought a Dodge Ram 1500 Limited Edition from 2020 and the dealer whom I bought the truck didn’t have the key for the bed cover so I cannot open it. Do I need to purchase only a new key and connect it to the existing receiver or do I need a new receiver instead?

Hello Alina, thanks for reaching out. The only way to know what key your need would be for your to provide the brand, model number and key number for your cover. The key number is typically printed on the key itself, or on the face of the lock core. Is there a number on the lock core you can see? Otherwise there will be no way to know what key you need and the only option would be to replace the key and lock core which would also be brand specific.
