How do You Know what Side is the Right Side and Left Side on an Awning?

Question:
This feels like a dumb question. How do we know if it’s the right or left side? Is it just looking at it straight on?

Hello Marcy,
There’s no such thing as a dumb question, I ask plenty myself!
To determine the right and left sides on the Solera Smart Arm 12V Power RV Awning - 16' Wide - Programmable - Black Fade # LC517486, or really any RV awning, the key is to step back and face the camper directly. When you're looking at the awning from outside the RV, right is on your right, and left is on your left, just like reading a book cover.
I’ve attached an image as well, in case that makes it easier to visualize.
Are you looking for a specific replacement part?
