Are Firestone Red Label Brackets Stronger Than Regular Firestone Brackets for 2024 Ford F-350

Updated 05/06/2025 | Published 05/02/2025

Question:

I am looking at firestone air bags for my 2024 Ford F350 SRW Diesel 4x4 standard bed. I tow a Grand Design Solitude 310 GK-R weighing 14,250 with a pin weight of 2950. Are the brackets for the red label 2716 bags heavier thicker than the 5000 lb 2625 model? I suspect the 5000 pound bags are sufficient but I am also interested in the most durable brackets Thanks!

Hey Darrell! The Firestone Red Label Extreme Duty # F95FV does have stronger brackets than the standard # F35FV. I do agree that you don't really need the 7,500 lb bags but it also won't hurt anything since they're fully adjustable. If the brackets are what matters to you the Red Label are the way to go.

I also highly recommend adding an air compressor like the Pacbrake Single Channel Wireless Air Spring Controls w/ Compressor # PB99MV. This will allow you to control the air pressure from the cab of your truck no matter where you go. It is a wireless system that can be controlled via the app on your phone. It is also capable of the max 150 psi for the Red Label bags. If you don't mind having a physical gauge, or would prefer one, the Firestone Air Command # F2097 is another good option. Feel free to reply below if you need anything else.
