Does Draw Tite Hitch for 2024 Subaru Outback Point Towards Ground

Question:

Just a quick question about installing this hitch on a 2024 Subaru outback. Does the hitch once installed sit parallel to the ground? If not can you recommend a frame mounted one that does ? The reason I ask is that I did install a Blue Ox hitch and once installed the rear actually tips towards the ground quite a bit and would take quite a bit of shimming to level it out. Probably doesnt matter with just a ball but when you put on a bike rack or especially a cargo rack its really kind of a pain. Thinking about switching it out before the bolts get to rusty, but wanted to make sure that once installed the replacement would sit more parallel to the ground. Thank you Paul

Hey Paul, the Draw Tite hitch part # DT73RR that fits your 2024 Subaru Outback Wagon does have a hitch tube that sits level and would not point down towards the ground at all. The hitch you had that pointed down probably was a defect and should have been warrantied.
