Can A 5th Wheel Hitch For Ford Puck System Be Used In A Chevy/GMC Truck?

Question:

I have a Demco 21k 5th wheel hitch Model 6107 and I believe its set up for Ford puck measurements pin to pin roughly 30 x 13 is there anyway or some type of adapters to be able to use this and a Chevy/Gmc truck or will it only work on Fords. Thank you for your comments.

Hello Brian, thanks for reaching out. What year/model is your GMC truck? Reese makes their elite series underbed mounting kit which is basically identical to the Ford OEM puck system. That would be the only option for using a Ford OEM hitch in a GMC or Chevy truck since those would use a different puck spacing.

Tell me the year make and model of your truck and I am happy to look into it and see if we have a Reese kit for you.

@Walt We do have the Reese Elite Series underbed install kit for a 2026 GMC. This will work with the Reese Elite hitches, as well as any 5th wheel hitch made for the Ford OEM puck system.
