Is It Worth It to Replace Entire Light Fixture or Try to Remove Bult From Fixture

Question:
Unable to remove base of a 5w 12v wedge style bulb in step lighting fixture with dental picks. It did work for another broken bulb but this one is really stuck inside. Do I need to replace the fixture or is there anything else that can be done to remove bulb? Thank you.

Hey Paula, it's hard to say where the line is on if it's worth it to keep trying to remove the bulb or just replace fixture. But if it's cheap enough to just replace the fixture that's what I would do as wasting time on something that's not going to save you that much money to just replace. If it's corrosion that has it locked in you might try some electric parts cleaner.

Hey Paula, did you try using the electric parts cleaner to remove the bulb, or did you decide to replace the fixture? I'm curious to know what worked for you, as it could help others facing a similar issue.
